ALLAHABAD: North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC) is going to organise Suranjali at police lines on Saturday. The programme would showcase the rich cultural heritage of the country in the form of folk songs, light music, birha, kathak and other art forms.
Programme officer Usha Dhal said that Hari Shankar Shukla will present light music, Ram Chandra Pal will birha, Ram Rath from Rae Bareli would perform alha while Vimal Shahbadi would perform folk dance.
NCZCC director Anand Vardhan Shukla has urged the art lovers to participate in the programme and give encouragement to the local artists.
NCZCC organises Suranjali every Saturday to give platform to the budding artists of the city and adjoining areas.
