GAYA: No less than six police officers have been dismissed in the Magadh Police Range during the last four days as Magadh took the lead in the execution of DGP Abhayanand's drive against incidents of bribery and moral turpitude among Bihar police personnel.
Whereas five police officers including three sub-inspectors (SIs) were dismissed from service on bribery charge on Thursday evening, one ASI met a similar fate a couple of days back. Magadh Range DIG Naiyyer Hasnain Khan passed the dismissal order. Almost similar fate awaits two more police personnel and the final decision is to be taken by Gaya SSP Vinay Kumar as they belong to the constabulary and the SSP is the competent authority to take the final call in respect of the constabulary. The police personnel who lost their jobs following the completion of department-related proceedings holding them guilty of bribery charge are __ SI Naurangi Baitha, SI Ajay Kumar Sinha, SI Shiv Kumar Prasad Sinha, ASI Nagindra Pratap Singh, ASI Bindeshwari Pande and ASI Ram Narain Singh.
