GUWAHATI, Jan 25 – Five Assam Police personnel have been chosen for the Police’s Medal for Gallantry which include SDPO Pranjit Bora, SI Pranjit Lahkar, SP Anurag Agarwala (Now DIG), SDPO Subhashish Baruah, and Constable Greatson Marak. Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, ADGP and NM Haque, commandant, 1st APBN, were selected for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service. The list of the Police Medal for Meritorious Service included the names of Syed Aataul Karim, Commandant, 4 APBN; Mridul K Dutta, SP; Mridulananda Sarma, SP; Mihir Goswami, Commandant, 12th APBN; Dilip K Choudhury, Inspector; Sudip Chakraborty, SI; Santa R Terong, SI; Damahu C Ray, ASI; Jitendra N Sarmah, ASI; Ganesh C Deka, Head Constable; Bhadreswar Kalita, Havildar; Rafiquddin Ahmed, Havildar; Subha Bharali, Havildar and Kumeswar Ray, Constable.
