The city is set to get additional 25 police stations to ensure better facilities and safety for its citizens.
The announcement came during the Police Flag Day celebration held at Koramangala on Saturday.
BS Yeddyurappa said that retired police officers will be covered under the health insurance scheme, 'Arogya Bhagya'.
The compensation amount will be raised fromRs 3 lakh to Rs10 lakh for cops who died during their service, he added.
The chief minister also said that Karnataka State Industries Security Force (KSISF) will be set up soon and added that the state government has already released Rs3.5 crore to set up the KSISF.
