MP Police: Police Transfers: राज्य पुलिस सेवा SPS के 80 अफसर इधर से उधर

भोपाल. राज्य शासन ने राज्य प्रशासनिक सेवा के 80 अधिकारियों के तबादले किए हैं। इनमें 11 एडिशनल एसपी और 69 डीएसपी, सीएसपी शामिल हैं। यह सूची करीब एक महीने से अटकी थी।

इस सूची के अलावा राज्य पुलिस सेवा की एक और तबादला सूची एक दो दिन में जारी होने की संभावना है। इसके लिए गृह विभाग में तबादला बोर्ड की बैठक हो चुकी है।

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It was an overwhelming moment for Pradeep Kumar, a constable attached to the Kerala Armed Police 5th Battalion, when he unexpectedly received a pat on his back from DGP Jacob Punnoose.

�Pradeep received a cash award and a good service entry for showing the humane face of the police to the needful even while he was geared up to face any untoward incident that might break out during a dharna staged by the SFI in Thiruvananthapuram the other day.

All he had to do was to help an elderly man, who wanted to cross the busy MG Road amidst the charged students. “This leaves a right message about how a policeman should be towards the needs of various people. The police are responsible towards all. He took the right step and deserves a compliment,” DGP Jacob Punnoose told Express.��� The unexpected compliment for Pradeep came to him after his action was spotted by Express lensman Kaviyoor Santhosh, who wasted no time in capturing the moment. The photo was published in the ‘City Express’ in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.

Delhi Police : One sided LOVE affair and woman constable attempts suicide on duty

New Delhi: One-sided love affairs often end tragically. Here's another instance, with the Connaught Place police station being the unlikely setting. A woman constable allegedly tried to commit suicide after her lover, a sub-inspector, refused to marry her. A senior police official, on condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident. The official said the woman constable had slit her wrist in a bid to take her own life. She has been booked for trying to commit suicide.

"An FIR has been registered against her under section 309 (attempt to commit suicide) at Connaught Place police station. She was arrested and was released on bail later," said the official.

The official added that the constable joined Delhi police around a year ago. She is presently posted with Malviya Nagar Police Station. She had been with Connaught Place police for a month as part of a training program. She was deeply in love with a Delhi Police sub-inspector.

Both had been friends for years. She wanted to marry him but he continued to spurn her advances. A few months ago family members of the Sub-Inspector fixed his marriage with someone else.

"When she found out that he was going to marry someone else, she had a heated argument with him. He scolded her for interfering in his personal life. Fed up with the answer, she went into depression. She was on duty outside Palika Bazar area when she slit her wrist with a sharp-edged weapon. Her colleagues who were on duty rushed her to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. She was discharged after three days," said a police official.

Delhi Police : Delhi Police to evaluate SHOs' performance

On the pattern of private companies, Delhi Police have now started evaluating the performance of station house officers (SHOs) of each police station. Delhi Police have prepared a performance report, which contains remarks from deputy commissioner of police of the district concerned,
joint commissioner of police of range concerned and of commissioner of police. If a station house officers fails to perform his or her duties for five months, action would be taken against them.

"It is just like the HR department of a private company which evaluates performance of every employee.

We are doing the same and an SHO is responsible for the law and order in his or her jurisdiction," BK Gupta, Delhi Police commissioner said, adding, "We are evaluating their performance by getting details whether crime has increased in their area and other important parameters."

The monthly report is first prepared by the DCP of the district who checks the overall workout percentage of the IPC cases of police station concerned.

In one such instance, the DCP has mentioned that vehicles theft has gone to 35 in first four months but only three cases have been worked out. The joint CP then said in his remarks that SHO needs to formulate strategies to prevent and detect crime under his head. The commissioner then asked SHO to give his explanation.

"We are hoping to improve the overall performance like that. Now that an SHO knows that every minute detail is being scanned by senior officers, they will always be on their toes," said a senior police officer requesting anonymity.

Delhi Police have also given direction to SHOs to concentrate on arresting proclaimed offenders (POs) as they are the one who commit crime after coming out of jail.

"One main point of SHOs performance is how many POs they have arrested in a month. We feel the more POs they will arrest, it will reduce the crime rate automatically," the officer added.

Delhi Police have also ordered revival of sustained police action under section 174 (a) of the Indian Penal Code.

The section states that any proclaimed offender (PO) who does not attend court hearings can face up to seven year imprisonment.

JK Police : police & RTI: JK Police appoints PIOs for quick response to RTI queries

Srinagar, July 3 (PTI) In order to bring transparency and cut short the response time for the applications under RTI, Jammu and Kashmir Police has nominated Public Information Officers (PIOs) at various levels. "The department has in order to curtail the avoidable delay, nominated PIOs at Zonal, Range and District levels, who are under a statutory obligation to dispose off all the applications under RTI pertaining to their respective jurisdictions," a police spokesman said today. He said earlier there was only one PIO for the entire department who was stationed at Police Headquarters. Realising that some delay would at times be caused in supplying information to the applicants, the Director General of State Police Kuldeep Khoda nominated the PIOs so that the information could be supplied to the applicant at the earliest, the spokesman said. Referring to the alleged involvement of some police officers in Jammu-Samba land grabbing scam, the spokesman said there was no question of deliberate suppression of information. "After the news related to land grabbing appeared on February 10 in a Jammu based daily, the Police headquarters immediately asked the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to go into the details and inform about police action warranted in the case, as it is only the revenue authorities who have land records to verify authenticity of the land grabbing reports," the spokesman said. Dhaula Kuan, which houses DU’s South Campus, will now be off the headlines. This part of south Delhi has earned itself the dubious distinction of being the most unsafe area for women in Delhi. And in a bid to wash away the Dhaula Kuan shame, last month the Delhi Police scrapped
the Dhaula Kuan police station and rechristened it the South Campus police station.

Police commissioner BK Gupta, on a lighter note said, “We have tried to break the Dhaula Kuan jinx by renaming the area police station. It’s an image makeover exercise.”

The notorious area—known as crime street—is now being properly policed by the women police officers of South Campus police station.

“It’s been intentionally done to change the perception of Dhaula Kuan in the minds of people,” he added.

Every year, scores of female students from across the country come to Dhaula Kuan to study in South Campus colleges. Besides, several working women reside in nearby localities like Satya Niketan and Anand Niketan.

Another reason was to provide separate police stations to the Cantonment area and Dhaula Kuan to improve the deteriorating law and order situation.

Over the years, the area had become a breeding ground for criminals as cases of rape, murder and molestation were being reported regularly.

It has witnessed some of the most ghastly crimes against women in the recent past. This year too, a 19-year-old student was raped, two molested and one murdered here.

गौरतलब है कि कल टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया और नवभारत टाइम्स.कॉम में यह खबर आई कि जज बृजेश कुमार गर्ग ने तिहाड़ जेल का औचक निरीक्षण किया और यह देख कर दंग रह गए कि वहां कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स और 2 जी घोटालों में अंदर आए कैदी मेहमानों की तरह रह रहे हैं। सुरेश कलमाड़ी जेल सुपरिंटेंडेंट एस.सी. भारद्वाज के चैंबर में उनके साथ चाय-नाश्ता लेते दिखे।

इन खबरों के आने के कुछ घंटों के अंदर भारद्वाज का तबादला पोर्टब्लेयर कर दिया गया। हालांकि अधिकारियों ने कहा है कि उनके तबादले का इस खबर से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है। डीआईजी (जेल) आर.एन. शर्मा ने बताया , ' उनके तबादले का आदेश एक महीना पहले ही आ चुका था। उन्हें शुक्रवार को जाना था। '
उन्होंने बताया कि विजिलेंस प्रभारी दिनेश गांधी इस मामले की जांच करेंगे और 48 घंटे के अंदर अपनी रिपोर्ट दे देंगे। इससे पहले शर्मा ने सभी जेल सुपरिंटेंडेंट्स की एक बैठक ली जहां सूत्रों के मुताबिक उन लोगों की काफी खिंचाई की।
