Raj Police: police & IPL Cricket : आईपीएल में नहीं दिखेंगी कम कपड़ों वाली चीयरलीडर्स, पुलिस वसूलेगी पैसे

जयपुर. इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल)  के मैचों में अपना जलवा बिखेरने वाली चीयरलीडर्स की मनमानी अब नहीं चलने वाली है। इस हफ्ते शुरू हो रहे आईपीएल के चौथे संस्‍करण में इनके पोशाक पर पाबंदी लगाई जा रही है। जयपुर प्रशासन ने साफ कर दिया है कि आईपीएल के मैचों के दौरान चीयरलीडर्स को भड़काऊ कपड़े पहनने की इजाजत नहीं दी जाएगी और उन्‍हें राजस्‍थान की परंपरागत पोशाक पहननी होगी।
जयपुर के डीएम नवीन महाजन ने आईपीएल की टीम राजस्‍थान रॉयल्‍स से साफ-साफ कह दिया है कि चीयरलीडर्स को सलीके से कपड़े पहनने होंगे। उन्‍होंने कहा, 'कोई चीयरलीडर्स तंग कपड़ों में नहीं होगी। चीयरलीडर्स के कपड़े राजस्‍थानी संस्‍कृति के होने चाहिए।'
आईपीएल के पहले संस्‍करण से ही चीयरली‍डर्स अपने भड़काउ पोशाकों को लेकर विवादों में रही हैं। पिछले साल भी राजस्‍थान सरकार ने पिछले साल भी चीयरलीडर्स के लिए स्‍कर्ट के नीचे स्‍लैक्‍स पहनने के निर्देश दिए थे। इन्‍हीं विवादों के चलते आईपीएल में आकर्षण का केंद्र रहने वाली चीयरलीडर्स का जलवा हाल में खत्‍म हुए क्रिकेट विश्व कप में देखने को नहीं मिला था।
केवल राजस्‍थान ही नहीं बल्कि अन्‍य टीमें भी चीयरलीडर्स के प ोशाक को लेकर सख्‍ती बरतने की तैयारी कर रही हैं। इस बार  अपना पहला आईपीएल खेल रही पुणे वॉरियर्स टीम ने अपने च ीयरलीडर्स के लिए देशी पोशाक और प‍ि श्‍चमी शैली के डांस के बजाय शास्‍त्रीय नृत्‍य पर विचार कर रही है।
पुलिस ने मांगे पैसे
इस बीच जयपुर पुलिस ने आईपीएल मैचों के दौरान सुरक्षा व्‍यवस्‍था मुहैया कराने के एवज में पैसों की मांग की है। जयपुर के पुलिस कमिश्‍नर बी एल सोनी ने बताया कि आईपीएल के मैच मुनाफे के लिए खेले जाते हैं और राज्‍य सरकार के दिशानिर्देशों के मुताबिक व्‍यावसायिक आयोजनों के लिए सुरक्षा मुहैया कराने के एवज में फीस वसूलनी होती है, ऐसे में राजस्‍थान क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन को इन मैचों के लिए सुरक्षा के लिए पैसे देने होंगे।'
जयपुर के सवाई मान सिंह स्‍टेडियम में इस साल आईपीएल के सात मैच खेले जाएंगे जिन्‍हें देखने के लिए बड़ी संख्‍या में क्रिकेटप्रेमियों के जुटने की उम्‍मीद है। सोनी ने कहा कि आईपीएल के पिछले मैचों के दौरान स्‍टेडियम की सुरक्षा के लिए आरसीए को अभी दो करोड़ रुपये पुलिस को देने बाकी हैं।
संगकारा होंगे डेक्‍कन चार्जर्स के कप्‍तान
श्रीलंका क्रिकेट टीम के कप्‍तान कुमार संगकारा को आठ अप्रैल से शुरू हो रहे आईपीएल के चौथे संस्‍करण में डेक्‍कन चार्जर्स की कमान सौंपी गई है। ऑस्‍ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटर कैमरून ह्वाइट डेक्‍क न चार्जर्स के उप कप्‍तान होंगे।
ऑस्‍ट्रेलिया के पूर्व क्रिकेटर एडम गिलक्रिस्‍ट ने 2009 में आईपीएल की विजेता टीम डेक्‍कन चार्जर्स की अगुवाई की थी। आईपीएल के चौथे संस्‍करण के लिए गिलक्रिस्‍ट को किंग्‍स इलेवन पंजाब की टीम ने खरीदा है।

Mumbai Police : Policeman makes a Record: डिप्टी एसपी ने समुद्री रेकॉर्ड तोड़ा

महाराष्ट्र पुलिस के डिप्टी एसपी बालासाहेब घाडगे ने 12 घंटे में समुद्री दूरी तय करके एक नया रेकॉर्ड बनाया है। घाडगे और हैदराबाद के अडिशनल एसपी राजू त्रिवेदी ने श्रीलंका में तलेमिनॉर से 25 मार्च को समुद्री छलांग लगाई और रामेश्वर तक का 30 नॉटिकल माइल्स का सफर 12 घंटे 31 मिनट में पूरा किया। इससे पहले मीर सेन और बूला चौधरी के नाम यह रेकॉर्ड था, लेकिन दोनों ने तब यह दूरी 16 घंटे में पूरी की थी।

बालासाहब घाडगे इससे पहले भी कई कमाल कर चुके हैं। उन्होंने धरमतर से गेट वे ऑफ इंडिया तक की 36 नाटिकल्स माइल की दूरी 4 बार और जिब्राल्टर खाड़ी (स्पेन से अफ्रीका) की समुद्री दूरी 5 बार पूरी की है। वह ग्रीस में हुई समुद्री मैराथन में भी दो बार भाग ले चुके हैं। मुंबई के पुलिस कमिश्नर अरुप पटनायक ने उन्हें सम्मानित किया।

Mumbai Police : Home for Policemen : एक घर चाहिए, पुलिस वालों के लिए!

इस शहर में रहने वालों की सुरक्षा करने वाले पुलिस कर्मियों को घर के लाले पड़े हैं। पुलिस महकमे में उच्च अधिकारी तो आलीशान घरों का बंदोबस्त आसानी से कर लेते हैं, मगर सिपाही, हवलदार जैसे कर्मियों के घरों की रिपेयरिंग तक नहीं हो पाती।

मामले की गूंज विधान परिषद में भी सुनाई दी। आम पुलिस वालों के घर के लिए विधान परिषद के सभापति वसंत डावखरे ने संबंधित विभाग के अधिकारियों को पत्र लिखा, मगर हुआ कुछ नहीं। इसी तरह बीआईटी चाल में रहने वाले पुलिस कर्मियों के आवासों की हालत दयनीय है। बीआईटी चाल के संदर्भ में सरकार का कहना है कि यहां रिडिवेलमेंट की प्रक्रिया चल रही है। बिल्डरों के प्रस्ताव आए हैं, जिसकी छंटनी चल रही है।

सदन में कांग्रेस के मोहन जोशी, अलका देसाई, हुसेन दलवाई, भाई जगताप व अन्य सदस्यों ने आम पुलिस कर्मियों के घरों के बाबत प्रश्न उठाए। सदस्यों का कहना है कि एक तो पुलिस कर्मियों को घर नहीं मिल रहा है, और जिन्हें घर मिला है उन इमारतों की हालत बदतर है। दक्षिण मुंबई स्थित डी-वार्ड के बीआईटी चाल की तीन इमारतों का मामला उठाया। कभी इन चालियों में रह चुके कांग्रेस के भाई जगताप ने कहा कि बीआईटी चाल की जिन बिल्डिंगों में पुलिस कर्मी रह रहे हैं उनका मालिकाना हक बीएमसी के पास है। वह 23 रुपये प्रति माह किराया लेती है, जबकि पुलिस महकमा उन घरों में रहने वाले पुलिस कर्मियों के वेतन में हाउसिंग अलाउंस के पांच हजार रुपये काट लेती है। यह सरासर अन्याय है। इसका समर्थन अन्य सदस्यों ने किया।

इस प्रश्न के संबंध में नगर विकास मंत्री भास्कर जाधव ने कहा कि 1992 में 19 बीआईटी चालियां बनाई गई थी जिसमें तीन बिल्डिंगों में पुलिस कर्मी रहते हैं। इन चालियों के पुनर्निर्माण की प्रक्रिया चल रही है। क्लस्टर डिवेलपमेंट के तहत प्रस्ताव लाए गए हैं, मगर सोसाइटी वालों में सहमति को लेकर विवाद है, जिसके चलते अभी तक फाइनल नहीं हुआ है। रही बात 23 रुपये के किराए की, तो इस बारे में गृह विभाग तय करेगा।

सदस्यों के सवालों के बाबत विधान परिषद के उपसभापति वसंत डावखरे ने सरकार को कटघरे में खड़ा करते हुए कहा कि उच्च पुलिस अधिकारी तो बड़ी ही आसानी से बड़ी - बड़ी सोसाइटियों में फ्लैट ले लेते हैं , परंतु जब निचले क्रम के पुलिस कर्मियों को घर देने या फिर उनके बिल्डिंगों के रिपेयरिंग की बात आती है तो नियम कानून आड़े आते हैं। डावखरे ने कहा कि इस मामले में उनका अपना अनुभव बहुत ही कड़वा रहा है। ठाणे में म्हाडा ने बिल्डिंग बनाई है जिसमें कुछ में उन्होंने पुलिस वालों को रहने के लिए घर दिया है। उन बिल्डिंगों के रिपेयरिंग कराने के लिए पुलिस महकमे से लेकर म्हाडा व संबंधित अन्य विभाग के लोगों का पत्र लिखा है , मगर हुआ कुछ नहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि यह बहुत ही खेद की बात है कि जो हमारी सुरक्षा करते हैं , उन्हीं के साथ इतनी लापरवाही बरती जा रही है ।

Raj Police : Police to supervise IPL match security

JAIPUR: The police will supervise security arrangements during the seven IPL matches to be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur from this month. A meeting was held at the secretariat building on Friday to discuss the security arrangements.
The meeting was attended by senior home department officers, RCA officials, police and other administration officers.
Seven matches which will be played. The are Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils (April 12), Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders (April 15), Rajasthan Royals and Kochi Tuskers (April 24), Rajasthan Royals and Pune Warriors (May 1), Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings (May 9) and Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore (May 11).

Sources said that RCA administration was not in favor of police security and wanted to make its own arrangements, but the home department has clearly instructed the state's cricket body to have police security.
The issue of RCA not paying for police security is being taken up during meetings being held for the matches since Thursday.
The RCA has not paid to the police for providing security at many ILL matches and a one-day match played at the Saw Mannish Stadium in the past.
The cricket matches are constantly under terror threats across the country following which the police department in Jailer doesn't want to take any chances.

TN Police : Madurai police file case against Alagiri, DMK men

The Madurai Rural Police registered a case against DMK south zone organising secretary and Union Minister M.K. Alagiri, Deputy Mayor P.M. Mannan, Melur DMK union secretary Raghupathi, Othapatti Thirugnanam and 50 others in connection with an assault case.

A senior police officer said that following a complaint from Tahsildar and Assistant Returning Officer (Melur Assembly segment) Kalimuthu, the Keelavalavu police registered a case on Friday night.

The charges include unlawful assembly, waylaying, assaulting government servant and violating prohibitory orders, among others. The Union Minister had been to a temple near Keelavalavu, where the flying squad too arrived and videographed the visit.

Annoyed at this, some men allegedly roughed up the videographer and a wordy altercation followed. As the situation looked tense, police officers escorted the squad out of the venue.

According to an eyewitness account, some of the local people at the temple objected to the presence of the officials and prevented the videographer from recording the event. While a DMK functionary forced the team members to keep away, the youth suddenly roughed up the videographer. Tense moments followed.

The Tamil Nadu Revenue Officials' Association has demanded adequate protection for its members to discharge their duty during the election and urged the police to arrest all the accused figuring in the FIR failing which the association has threatened to boycott poll work.

Mr. Kalimuthu said that they went to the spot as per the Election Commission of India directive.

“We did what we are expected to perform as per the guidelines.”

Another official said that the DMK functionaries abused them.

A complaint was lodged, after which the police filed a case.

Orissa Police : ACP's suicide' mars police day

BHUBANESWAR: Police on Friday recovered the body of a senior police officer hanging from the ceiling in his house in Laxmisagar area. The deceased, Pramod Kumar Satapathy (54) was posted as an assistant commissioner of police (ACP) in the intelligence wing of the commissionerate police here.
The DSP rank officer's tragic death marred the 76th Orissa Police Formation Day celebration on Friday in the city. Prima facie, police said it was a case of suicide. Though the motive behind his alleged suicide was not ascertained, police suspect Satapathy could have ended his life due to depression relating to family problems.

"He was upset for the past few days. But the cause of his depression is still unknown. He had recently taken leave for a few days," the police officer added.
Satapathy is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons. His youngest son, Guru, expressed ignorance over the possible cause of his father's suicide'. "He was sad for the last few days. But he never discussed it with us," said Guru, a Plus Two Science student in a private college here. " My father was always worried about our future," he said.
Satapthy used to sleep alone in his room. "He usually woke up early for morning walk. However, seeing his room closed till 7.30 am, we knocked on his door," Guru said. "When he did not respond, we sensed something was amiss and informed police," he added.
"We found his body hanging from the ceiling. The room was latched from inside. We broke the door to enter the room. He used a cloth to hang himself. We rushed him to hospital, but doctors declared him dead," a police officer said. "There was a ligature mark on his neck," he added.
Satapathy's neighbours were shocked to hear about the whole incident. "We used to meet everyday during morning walk. I had talked with him on Thursday. He looked a bit upset," Raghab Chandra Sethi, a neighbour said.
Satapathy had joined the police force as a cadet sub-inspector on January 1, 1979. He had earlier worked as inspector with the special branch in Rourkela and DSP (crime) in Sundargarh. A number of police officials, including police commissioner B K Sharma, paid tribute to Satapathy.

Mumbai Police earned praise from MoS (Home) for keeping city safe during World Cup final

Mumbai, April 3 (IANS) The Mumbai Police Sunday earned praise from union Minister of State for Home Gurudas Kamat for keeping the city safe and ensuring an incident-free World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka.
In a statement here, Kamat congratulated Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik, all the police officers and other security forces involved with the policing of the grand finale.
‘Various news reports leading upto the match had unwittingly created a scare among the people. However, Mumbai Police and other (security) forces ensured a joyous mood through the match, and even during the post-match when millions of citizens were celebrating the victory of Indian cricket team,’ said Kamat, who is elected MP from Mumbai, North West constituency.
He also expressed his heartiest congratulations to Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni ‘for the fantastic display’ and winning the World Cup for India.
